Milou et Milou: Tell me a little bit about yourself...
Marlou: I am Marlou I am 20 years old and live in Brabant.
I study styling at Sint Lucas College.
MA: I'm a model for several years now, but i'm with paparazzi since July 2012.
M: How are you discovered?
MA: I was discovered on the street, while i was shopping with my sister.
M: What's your favorite band/music?
MA: My favorite music is R&B and pop, I like to listen to Rihanna, Kings of Leon, and also Bob Marley.
M: Favorite modeling experience so far?
MA: My favorite experience is shooting for Glamour Magazine, with 4 other models, and animals. It was very fun!
M: Place you would love to visit?
MA: I would love to visit Thailand, or China. Countries with a totally different culture.
M: What are your goals as a model?
MA: My goals are to work for many different magazines, to travel and meet nice new people, and hopefully to work for vogue or other big fashion magazines.
M: Who are some of your favorite designers, and why?
MA: Balmain, I really like the different textures, the colors, and the prints. Its powerful, feminine and their shows are amazing!
M: How would you describe your style?
MA: My style is very different every day, one week i wear a lot of black and other days i wear a lot of colors and patterns. It depends on how i feel. I really like skirts and dresses!
M: Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why?
MA: Ooohh.. Thats a hard one.. I really dont know! I think they are all nice and special. They all have their own style.
M: Describe the atmosphere when you're on a shoot. Do you play music? Do you talk with the photographer between shots?
MA: The atmosphere during a shoot is usually very relaxed. I usually talk with the makeup artist or stylist and the photographer between de shots. They play some music, drink a cup of coffee or thea, and having fun!

INTERVIEW: PHOTOGRAPHER BIANCA TOEPS
Milou et Milou: Tell me a little bit about yourself…
Bianca: Hi! I'm Bianca Toeps. Photographer, editor-in-chief of Fashionmilk.com, blogger, hand model, scout for Donna Models Tokyo… I do many things. I studied Communication and Multimedia Design (CMD), and I use every aspect of that in daily life. Oh and, I'm 28, I live with my boyfriend who is a journalist in a small but cute house near the city of Utrecht.
M: How long have you been a photographer?
B:I started taking pictures in 2007, I think. I used to be a model myself. Not a real good one, actually a pretty bad one, but there were times I worked with an even worse photographer and I was like: "Dude, give me that camera, I can do that!" We got this Photography-class at CMD, and after that I bought my first camera: The Canon EOS 350D. Within two years I was shooting for CosmoGIRL!, Fancy (a magazine that unfortunately doesn't exist anymore) and others.
M: What type of cameras do you shoot with?
B: I now own a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. I usually shoot with the 24-70 2.8 L lens, but I also have the 70-200 2.8 L IS for full-body fashion shots outside. That thing is very heavy though, so I don't always have it in my bag.
M: What is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?
B: The 24-70 lens. I can do almost anything. And my lamp, from Elinchrom, with a deep octa softbox on it. Oh and! Photoshop, haha.
M: What is your favorite image you have shot recently?
B: These two!
I shot these for our latest Fashionmilk-shoot, The Class of 2012. They're super kawaii! (Japanese for cute.)
M: Who is the first photographer that comes to your mind and why?
B: Miles Aldridge. Xaviera Aubri once compared my work to his, which is a huge compliment. I love his colors, his dreamy images… Everything about his work is awesome.
M:A website and/or blog you visit often?
B: Fashionmilk.com! (Of course, haha!) And The Fashion Spot, Instagram, Facebook, 9GAG… I almost live on the internet!
INTERVIEW: MODEL PATRICIA VAN DER VLIET
I did a Dutch interview with beautiful model Patricia van der Vliet!
Milou et Milou: Hoe is het leven als een model?
Patricia: Geweldig! Je maakt zoveel mee. Je ontmoet onwijs veel leuke en inspirirende mensen, reist veel en komt op de meest onwaarschijnlijkste locaties. Als model verveel je, je in ieder geval nooit. Mits je goed werkt natuurlijk. ;)
M: Hoe ben je je carriére begonnen? Ben je gescout of heb je foto’s opgestuurd? P:
Ik ben helaas nooit zelf gescout. Ben echt eindeloos langs bureaus gegaan. Maar er werd nooit echt interesse getoond. Dat kwam pas na Holland's Next Top Model. Dat heeft voor mij alle deuren geopend.
M: Wat vind je het leukste van modellenwerk? P: Het leukste vind ik eigenlijk alles wat ik bij vraag 1 heb neergezet. Plus natuurlijk het dragen van alle couture, make-up en haar. Ik vind het een ontzettende eer als designers door middel van mij hun creativiteit willen tonen. En dat ze mij aan hun visie bij laten dragen.

P: Mijn Blackberry, Ipad, Evian waterspray, Aquaphor lippenbalsem, mijn Chanel Coralbrush, Elnett, Coco Mademoiselle en tandenstokers.
M: Wat doe je behalve model zijn nog meer graag? P: Ik ga graag naar museums, nieuwe ervaringen opdoen met vrienden en vriendinnen, nieuwe talen leren en me in psychologie verdiepen.
M: Beschrijf jezelf in 5 woorden.
P: Passionate, outgoing, patient, happy, emotional, perfectionist, hard working, loving and caring. (5 words are too little, there's a lot to me. Lol)

INTERVIEW: MODEL EMMA HUIJS
Milou et Milou: Hoelang doe je al modellenwerk?
Emma: In januari dit jaar had ik mijn eerst echte shoot.
Dus ongeveer 2 maanden ben ik nou bezig met modellenwerk.

E: Ik ben gescout via hyves door Marianne van ragazza model management.
M: Wilde je altijd al model worden?
E: Ik kreeg wel vaker te horen van: 'Goh, jij moet echt model worden!'
Het leek me wel leuk, maar toen ik werd gescout ben ik me er pas echt mee gaan bemoeien.
M: Wat vind je het leukste aan modellenwerk?
E: Ik heb tot nou toe alleen nog maar shoots gehad, maar ik zou ook graag eens ide catwalk op willen!
Maar shooten vind ik ook super om te doen! Je kunt dan helemaal los gaan met poseren...
En natuurlijk het resultaat van z'n dag werken vind ik ook altijd heel leuk, als de shoot afgelopen is ben ik altijd heel erg nieuwsgierig naar hoe de foto's geworden zijn!

E: oeilijk! Ik heb nog niet zo super veel foto's.
Maar ik hoop dat van de laatste shoot die ik heb gehad er een 'mooiste foto' tussen zit. Ik ben heel benieuwd!

M: Wat wil je bereiken als model?
E: Nou de eerste editie van de Nederlandse VOGUE is pas uitgekomen.
Het lijkt me super om daar een keer in te staan. Al is die kans natuurlijk heel klein...
M: Heb je broertjes of zusjes, zo ja, willen die ook model worden?
E: Ja, ik heb twee zusjes. Een van 10 en de ander is 14.
Volgensmij willen ze niet echt modellenwerk gaan doen. Al vinden ze het wel heel leuk dat ik nou model ben.
En mijn zusje van 14 vind het ook wel eens leuk om foto's met mij te maken.
M: Wat vind je behalve modellenwerk nog meer leuk om te doen?
E: Naast het modellenwerk vind ik het leuk om te sporten. Ik doe aan dansen en korfbal.
Ook vind ik het leuk om lets samen met vriendinnen te gaan doen: shoppen, kletsen, beauty dingen, alles wat meiden doen eigenlijk ;)
En ik heb sinds kort ook een eigen spiegelreflex camera,
Ik vind het dus zelf ook leuk om achter de camera te staan: foto's maken van bijvoorbeeld vriendinnen. En ik vind Facebook, Tumblr en inspiratieboards maken voor shoots.
